Gladys Bareiro de Modica.

Graduated from the National University of Asunción Law School, she was admitted to practice in 1972. She received a doctorate degree in Juridical Sciences from the National University of Asunción. Because of her experience in Intellectual Property Rights, she was appointed by the United Nations (UN) as a national consultant for the amend of the Paraguayan regulatory framework of intellectual property. Also, she was hired by the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) for the research publication “Intellectual Property and Biotechnology in Paraguay”. Dr. Bareiro de Modica is Professor of Intellectual Law at the postgraduate course at the Catholic University of Asunción Law School, and Professor of Intellectual Property Law at the Judicial School of the Magistracy Board. She has a postgraduate course in Negotiation in International Business related to Intellectual Property rights from the Florida International University, U.S.A. (2007). Former Vice Minister of Commerce, of the Paraguayan Government.

She has published a book, Contrato de Franchising, and many works in specialized reviews.  She is a former president of the Paraguayan Industrial Property Association and a former vice president of the Paraguayan Bar. Dr. Bareiro is a trademark and patent agent. She deals also with commercial matters. She speaks Spanish, English, French and Italian.

Carmelo Modica.

Graduated from the National University of Asunción Law School, he was admitted to practice in 1975. He received a doctorate degree in Social Sciences from the National University of Asunción. He is a Professor of Roman Law, Law Philosophy and Legal Logic at the Universidad Iberoamericana de Asuncion. Dr. Modica published a book, “Paraguayan Trademark Law”.

Dr. Modica is a Trademark and Patent Agent. He speaks Spanish, English, French, German and Italian.

Denise Modica.

Graduated from the Catholic University of Asunción Law School. She was admitted to practice in 2002. She was also graduated from the Catholic University of Asuncion and became a Public Notary in 2002.

She has a postgraduate course in Law at the Catholic University of Asuncion (2007).

She is a Trademark and Patent Agent and she works also in the civil and commercial area of the firm. Languages: Spanish, English and French.
